A Note from the Pastor

People often wonder what to expect when they walk into a church for the first time. At The Crossing you can expect a warm greeting, a relaxed, informal atmosphere, great music, and a message that will have meaning for your life. We also provide excellent instruction for your children by trained teachers and caregivers, great adult Bible studies and Small groups, and one of the most dynamic youth ministries in Alaska. People who call The Crossing 'home' typically describe our church as 'a family'. People come to be refreshed, encouraged, motivated and challenged. I hope to see you here!

1 RADIATE! NEW SERIES STARTS TODAY!

Your kids are about to take a thrill ride through the fruits of the Spirit as we embark on our new 8-week series, BERRY BLAST THEME PARK! They will meet Twitch, the newest employee at Berry Blast Theme Park, and his instructor Bernie. Twitch will be learning what joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, and love should really look like. So, grab your tickets and get in line as Bernie helps Twitch face life’s difficulties using the ultimate fruit, from the Fruit of the Spirit.

2 CROSSOVER SUMMER NIGHTS

Crossover starts tonight, June 21st. We’ll meet up at the church at 6pm for an event called “Just Shoot Me” – a photo scavenger hunt in our community. Things should wrap up around 8pm. If you will be in high school next fall or have just graduated, come hunt with us!

3 CRAVE - SADDLEBACK HIKE

Young adults! Come join us as we hike Saddleback on Sat., June 27th , 1:00-6:30pm. If you’ve never braved this trail, you will find it up Mile High Rd., on the way to the Nature Center in Eagle River. No need to find it alone though…we will be meeting in the ER Walmart parking lot at 1pm to carpool up to the trailhead. Make sure to bring water & good hiking shoes. 4 CHURCH RANGE DAY

Coming July 11th, starting at 10am at Birchwood Shooting Park (near Birchwood Airport)… everyone welcome! Women and new shooters encouraged to come. Bring your guns and ammo or shoot ours. 5 WOMEN'S SUMMER BIBLE STUDIES

Don't take a vacation from His Word! All studies begin this week, Thurs., June 18th. Thursday Mornings - 9:15am childcare opens; reservations and small fee appreciated. Summer N*R*G*- A weekly study that accommodates busy summer schedules, no required homework and lots of fellowship; facilitated by Aisha Hanson and Jess Jennings. Finding God's Will by Andy Stanley, facilitated by Kim Tanner. Me, Myself and Lies by Jennifer Rothschild; a seven-week study, facilitated by Tana Luna.

Thursday Evening, 6:30pm; Precepts study of the Book of Ruth; this four week study is led by Heidi Thomas.
